I've spent a good portion of today really thinking about where I want this blog to go, and what I want to do with it and I have some really exciting plans that I wanted to share with everyone! So, without further ado, here are some of my ideas that I hope will be as exciting for all of you as they are for me!
Indie TTRPG Reviews... As I've become more and more embroiled in the TTRPG community, I have been introduced to some fantastic games and ideas, and plan to share my thoughts and feelings on these with all of you! I want to particularly focus on Indie games because there is SO MUCH TALENT and often these games don't receive nearly as much support as they deserve!
Articles on DnD specifics... As I mentioned, I mostly play DnD 5E and so will start writing about specific topics in this game! There's so much to cover! Here I'll share some of my Homebrew get-arounds, rule changes, and address my thoughts on new modules or source books that Wizards Of The Coast introduce!
Loot Tables, Random Encounter Tables, Plot Hooks... Sometimes a DM just needs some inspiration, and I want to provide it! I'm a writer - I love giving an idea and watching what can unfold from that. I'll create tables for items, quest starters, NPCs, shops, and just about anything that can contribute to world-building (my one true love).
Monster Mondays... So here is the thing that I'm most excited about and the idea that I've wanted to flesh out for a while. So many of the Monster Stat Blocks in DnD 5E are based around folklore, myths, and legends. Every Monday I'll pick a real-world creature and give some context into its history and the tales that surround it, as well as finding some stat blocks for DnD that may have been inspired by it and give ideas on how to implement these fascinating stories into your game!
Plenty of exciting things to come, I've already picked my first monster inspired by English folklore...🐾👀 See if you can guess what it is?
These sound like great ideas. I especially love the indie reviews and Monster Mondays
